Christmas tree

It's that time of the year again!
Time to put the christmas tree up!
We have bought a fake christmas tree a few years ago, because my sister is allergic to the real thing.
But it's a good quality tree, at the time it was around the 100 euros we paid for it and we have it more than 6 years for sure. It's about 1m80 of length.
In the package there's a foot to stand the tree up on, and then there's 3 pieces to put on top of each other and then you have our tree. It's up in about 5 minutes or less, but after you have to open up the branches a little and that takes a good 10 minutes if you wanna do it nicely.
Tadaaa now you have a tree :)

Now it's time to put some lights in it.
I've bought new ones this year and I went for warm ones, but I didn't looked at the length of it so I had to go back and buy a second pair of lights :)
I've started from the bottom up and put them more on the outside of the tree, so you see them really good instead of hiding them. Halfway up the tree I had to start with my second pair of lights that I bought. And this is the result!
I think it came out really nice.

Lets put in some ornaments in it!
This year we went for the colors red and gold, so it's a warm tree this year. We change it up each year.
First I've put in the red ornaments in, a bit all over the tree. The smaller ones I've put on top and the bigger ones in the bottom. We have shiny ones, matt ones and glitter ones. After that I've put in the golden ones, those are the same ones as the red ones. We bought those for about 15 euros the box, there are 24 ornaments per box. We finished it of with some bowes, also in red and gold. This time it didn't want to work for me, so my mom was so nice to help with the bowes.
This is the end result!
Hope you like my christmas tree, by now there are also some presents under it, you can see it on my instagram @theadventure_oflife . I'm interested to see your christmas tree, so you can share it with me if you want.

Love,
Sarah

Christmas Cupcakes

This week we will make some delicious cupcakes, specially decorated for Christmas.
It's a pretty easy recipe and they're really good.
It takes about an hour to make them.

These are the ingredients: 150gr of butter, 500gr all purpose flowers, 280gr caster sugar, 15ml baking powder, pinch of salt, 3 eggs, 150ml milk, 50ml water, 5ml vanilla essence.

Start baking!
Put the butter and the dry ingredients together.
But the milk, the water, the eggs and the vanilla essence in and mix, about 3 minutes by hand, if you do it with a mixer it's good after 1,5 minutes.
This should be good for around 20 cupcakes, you can put the mix in cupcake forms now.
Pre heat the oven at 180 degrees, then put the cupcakes in for 10 - 15 minutes.
If you wanna know if they're ready put a tooth pick in it and if there is no dough sticking on it they are ready.
This is how they should look, I also had a little more cupcakes :)

Now let's start the decorations :)
First I made the buttercream, for this you need butter, sugar and vanilla essence.
I used 250gr butter and with that 370gr sugar and about a teaspoon of vanilla essence. Then I separated the buttercream in 3 bowls and in 2 of then I put food coloring, in one green and the other red.
Then first I cut a whole in each cupcake, in one half I put some dark chocolate cream and in the other strawberry jam.
After that you can put the buttercream on top of it.
I also bought some other little decorations to put on it. I cut a christmas tree out of sugar paste and on top of it I put some sugar balls. I also used some candy cane decoration and mistletoe.

Hope you guys like my designs? Don't hesitate to share yours :)

Sarah

DIY Advent Wreath

It's almost Christmas! The most magical time of the year!
I love this time of the year so I thought to do a little countdown for it.
I'll do blogs about all that has to be ready for that time :)

Today's blog will be a DIY about how to make a Advent Wrath. My sister helped me make it, we did a little crafting this afternoon.
So first we went to buy some stuff, we needed some decoration and of course the circle it's one made of strong hay. I think everything cost about 10€, I found everything at a cheap price.
Of course I also needed the leaves of a pine tree to decorate all of it.
You also need some glue, eventually a glue gun and some glitters.
Of course you also need 4 candles, all from different seizes, we chose for white ones.

Let the crafting begin. First we glued the candles on the circle of hay, for that we used the glue gun. It's kind of tricky but at the end they stayed on very nice.
The we used the pine tree leaves to hide the hay of the circle. For this we also used the glue gun cause the glue is transparent.
For decoration I bought some white and red berries, fake ones of course :) I also bought some wooden reindeers and some wooden hearts. The hearts I also decorated with some glitter, some red ones and some silver ones, I also left some in the wood.
So now you can start to decorate it all, you can do this like you desire.
This is how I did it. At the end I also put some fake snow on the bottom.
I hope you like the results, enjoy making your own and don't hesitate to share yours.

Love,
Sarah

Halloween

Hello,

Are you all ready for Halloween this year?
Here we don't celebrate it as much as in the USA for example but me and my family still like to decorate a little.

So this year we decorated the house a little.
When I studied in L.A. I bought a few little things out there for this holiday and we still use it.
I bought all small things and made a Halloween box for my sister, I put in some spiderwebs and fingers also candy of course and a set to cut a pumpkin.

In our hallway we put a horror cup to drink out with a finger next to it and of course some spiderwebs with spiders in them.
Then on the stairs we put all spiderwebs on the railing with also spiders in it.
At the downstairs toilet we put spiderwebs on the mirror with a small spider in it.
Also nice to know is that everyone is scared of spiders in the family, expect for my parents :)
On the front door we've put a board with on it 'the witch is in' and you can change it in 'the witch is out'. Also a souvenir from my stay in L.A.
At the front door we also have a pumpkin and some creepy lanterns.
Thats about how we decorated our house, it's not that much but it puts us in the right spirit.

Yesterday I've been carving a pumpkin with my sister, we each made our own. It was so fun because we did it outside in the dark, so it was kind of a challenge. Thank god for flashlight on our phones ;)
My sister made a cute little pumpkin and I tried to make a more scary one, moohahaha.
What do you think of our creations? If you wanna see how we made them on my sisters blog fauvec.blogspot.be

To all a happy Halloween, have fun scaring people :)
Love,
Sarah

Harry Potter and the cursed child

Hello,

I know it's been a while since I've made a blog, first I was on holiday in London, this is where this blog is about and after that I've got sick. So sorry I couldn't write in this time.

When the tickets came out for the Harry Potter theatre I was one of the first to want one, the day they came out I've been on my computer the whole day trying to get tickets. It really took me the whole day, but at the end I've got them.
One year later it was finally time to go to London to see the play. We've took a few days to stay to make a city trip out of it.
I went with my sister and my cousin, and we had the best time.

We left the Monday and we went with the Eurostar, first thing we did is go to the hotel to leave our bags there. What you should know is that my sister  made me promise not to take the subway because she's afraid with all the terror going on in this world. So we did most of London by foot or by cab at night. The first day we went shopping, I love shopping in this city, it's the best. In the evening we wanted to go eat at Jamie's Italian but we made a wrong turn and never made it. But we found Chipotles instead and I love me some Chipotles! The people there were so nice there, my sister has a lot of food allergies and the people working there managed to make her a nice meal anyway. We had a very nice first day and evening.

The second day we walked so much! We wanted to go from our hotel to Regent Park and Primrose hill, we thought it wouldn't be that far, but we were wrong. In the afternoon it also started raining, but we still got going. On Primrose hill you have such a nice view of London. This you really should see if you're in town. That evening we did find Jamie's Italian, because we went with a cab :) It was an amazing evening, we were laughing all evening. Our waiter was looking like someone famous and we couldn't come up with who he was looking like, so I finally asked him if someone ever told he that he looked like someone famous, but that wasn't the case, oops awkward!

Then finally the day came to go see Harry Potter and the cursed child! I was so excited! We left after breakfast to get our tickets at the box office. We walked all the way till there, a 2 hours walk, but we saw a lot of nice things on the way. After we got the tickets we went for lunch at a Starbucks, so we also got some wifi. Then we went in line to see the first part of the play, no spoilers, but it was so amazing. If you already read the book and you wondered how they would do the magic parts, all that I can say is that they did a wonderful job. By the end of the first part we were all blown away by how good it was produced and brought to life. In between parts we went for diner at Jamie's Diner a few minutes away from there. Part two was as good as part one, I just loved this play, I would like to go back if I could it was just that amazing. If you have the chance to go I can really recommend it and if you're going to see it know that you're in for a ride.

The last day we went to the science museum, a museum that is so good for everyone, you have something for everybody there.
After the museum we went to get our bags and then we went to catch our train back home.
So sad to go back home, but that's how it is.... To all good things come an end.

I hope you liked my story about our trip to London.
Let me know if you saw the play and what you think of it.
Love,
Sarah

My view on Marvel

Hello,

Like I said in my previous blog I'm a DC fan, but non a less a Marvel fan as well.
I've always watched the Marvel movies, well not all but most of them.
Like already said on the other blog, I don't see myself as knowing a lot about comics, this is just what I think about the Marvel world.

The first superhero movies I saw were The hulk and Daredevil, both movies were ok but I wasn't sold yet. I think the first movie I saw was Blade, I loved all 3 of those movies, maybe because I just love the world of vampires and werewolves.
Then came the Fantastic four movies, I also loved both of them, I just loved the story around it all.
Ghost rider was also a good movie, maybe because I like Nicholas Cage, but I liked both of those movies. Then you also had Elektra, I liked the first girl being the head character and it was a good movie of course.  All of these movies I see like the before movies of Marvel, those are all the movies before the big franchise movies, I feel like.

You also have the X-men movies, those are the best movies ever made. I love those movies! For me you have the first 3 original movies who came first and I really loved these movies. Of course I was happy to know that Wolverine would have his own movie, he's my favorite one of the X-men. And I was so happy when the second one also came out. Then came the movies where they went back in time, to the younger characters. I was so happy to see other storylines and new characters coming to the story. I really learned to appreciate Magneto in those movies, who now also is one of my favorites in those movies. Those are my favorite movies by far from the Marvel world.

Then you have the other franchises from Marvel.
Spiderman is one of the superheroes I like the less, I don't know why, I just never loved them that much. Which is weird cause I really like The amazing spiderman. For me there was really a big difference in those movies. It's not the actors or so, because I like both of them, it's just a superhero i like a little less maybe.
Then came The avengers movie, first separate and then together.
The incredible hulk I liked more then the first movie about the Hulk, I think the story is better than the other one.
Iron man is my favorite superhero in this franchise, I like all the movies, the character Tony Stark is so great. Robert Downey Jr. plays the role so good, it's made for him.
The Captain america movies are also very good, the first one really explains the whole story very well. And each one of those movies they make it better.
I love the Thor movies so much, also a really good story lines. I can't wait for the next movie!
The movie who was a little less for me is Guardians of the galaxy, I don't know why, it just didn't got me from the start.
Then of course the Avengers movies themselves I really love also, to see them all together in a movie is just so great!
Honestly I didn't even saw Ant-man, I don't know why. The trailer didn't really speak to me, but after seeing the last Captain America I'm thinking to see this movie, cause he was so funny in it.
One of my favorite Marvel movies is Deadpool, how great is this story! He can do so much, even go to other dimensions, I hope to see more of Deadpool. Maybe a movie with all of the Marvel characters together?

For the next movies coming out I really wanna see the Black Panther movie, I just loved this character in Captain America, so I wanna see a movie about him.
The movie thats going to come out that I'm not so excited about is Doctor Strange, I don't know why, it's just based on seeing the trailer, cause I don't really know the story.
For the rest I'm pretty excited about the movies to come.

I know there a few tv series based on the Marvel world, but I haven't have the time to see any of them. I saw a bit of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. but I didn't continue watching. I wanna start watching Daredevil but didn't had the time yet to start. And I heard Jessica Jones is also a good tv show so maybe I should also start this one. The one who starts this month is Luke Cage and this one I really wanna see!

So as you know this was my view on Marvel and you also could've read my view on DC, I would like to know what you think of it and if I can learn some things of you please let me know. Like I said, I really don't know a lot of all those comics, only what I see in the movies actually. So I don't want to offend anyone with this blog.

Love,
Sarah

My view on DC comics

Hello,

Since I'm a little girl I always watched cartoons, you know, the normal stuff every kid grows up with.
But I always watched Batman and TMNT with my brother, and I loved it.
So today I'm going to talk about DC comics.

For me it all started when I was about 10 y/o I think, I started watching Batman comics on tv with my brother. Batman was and still is my all time superhero. I'm not going to pretend I know all about comics, not even close. This is just my opinion about what I think about the DC world. Oh and no spoilers, I wouldn't dare to!

The first introduction on DC based movies was Superman, this movie came out before I was born but I saw it once with my parents and I loved it, the idea of a alien who looks like us and can fly and do all this stuff he can was amazing. The first Batman movie also came out when I was to young to have watched it then, but when I was old enough it was my favorite movie. You had Batman, Batman returns, Batman forever and Batman & Robin. Yes I loved Robin more then Batman in that movie, Chris O'Donell is also so handsome :) I still have those movies on DVD, thats how much I loved them. I know that there were more Superman movies made also but for some reason I loved the first the most. Then came Catwoman, also a good movie with such a good actress, it felt so nice to see a woman being a superhero and kick ass. Batman begins was so good, it changed everything for me, it was so refreshing. The whole new view on the story was mind-blowing for me, I can't get enough of this movie. Then Superman returns came out, also a good movie. Then the Dark knight came out, with the best Joker ever put on screen, amazing movie! This is probably one of the best superhero movies ever. Then the green lantern came out, in my opinion not the best movie. Then the Dark knight rises came, another great Batman movie! And the there was Man of steel, a new view on the story and an amazing storyline and to be honest Henry Cavill is such a good superman.
The last Batman trilogy and the last Superman movie were so groundbreaking for me, I felt like a little girl and just saw the story for the first time again. Just loved it and it will be hard to do better than this. In my opinion this didn't happen yet.
Then this year we had two major DC movies coming out, Batman v Superman: Dawn of justice and Suicide squad.
First I was totally against Ben Affleck being the new Batman, I just didn't saw it happening.  Honestly I loved Henry Cavill as Superman and Christian Bale as Batman, I couldn't imagine that to ever change. But now for Batman it happened :(
I saw the movie and first of all I liked the movie overall but I still don't really like our new Batman, but I can live with it I guess. The movie itself was a little to long, it could have been made shorter. But I liked the story line and the actors and the introducing of the justice league. I also have a view things to say about that, like I'm very excited to see Jason Momoa play Aquaman, but less for not seeing the flash I know and the arrow that I know from the tv shows in it. They would be so good on big screen! But back to the movie, so it was a bit stretched I feel but for the rest it was a good movie.
Then Suicide squad was about to come out. Same here, first I was finding it a weird choice to take Jared Letto as the Joker, but when the trailer came out I was sold. The movie and the storyline of each character was great, but I didn't quite get the part of the bad guys in it, the witch and her brother, that didn't had to be in the movie for me. They could just make it about the squad and the Joker for me. I really loved the movie, just not the part with the witch and all. I really hope they'll make a movie about the Joker, that would be so awesome. My favorite one of the squad is Deadshot, not only because Will Smith played him so good, but because I knew his story already a bit from in Arrow and thats why I loved him so much i guess.
So now were waiting on the next movies, like Wonder Woman and Justice League. Hope they are so good as we hope they will be. Cause the last two had some minor points.

Then you have also the tv series based on DC comics.
The first one I saw was Lois & Clark: the new adventures of Superman, I just loved coming home after school and watch this show. Then there was Smalville, I loved watching this show, it was one of my favorites at the time.
And the last few years I started to watch and love, Arrow and The flash, I can't stop watching these shows, the storylines are great and the actors play their part so well! I started to watch Legends of tomorrow, but after a few episodes I stopped because it just couldn't get me on board. Supergirl I didn't even started to watch, just because the trailer even didn't convinced me.
The last show I started was Lucifer and I love it!! Can't wait for the second season! I was hooked from the first episode, Tom Ellis plays his role so good.

My favorite movies based on the DC comics are the Dark knight trilogy and Man of steel.
My favorite Tv serie based on the DC comics is at this time Lucifer.
This were my thoughts on DC, I will also make a blog about what I think of Marvel.
Just to be clear, I'm more of a DC girl than Marvel. I like the movies of both, but DC was my first intro to the superhero world and I'll never forget that :)
If you know more about the comics you can let me know, I would love to learn more about those comics. I just don't know where to get all the info.

Sarah

What happens in Vegas...

Hello,

So while I studied in L.A. my friend Alice and I went for a weekend to Las Vegas :)
The Friday after school we went to rent a car cause we wanted to drive ourself.
At the car rental place they were so nice, we ordered a small car, something cheap and when they found out we were going to Vegas they said we couldn't go in that car. We said we didn't want to pay much on the car and so they made us such a good deal we took it and so we went to Vegas in a Chrysler cabriolet :)

Road trip!! The road till there was so nice, a lot of nature and then the desert.
We arrived early in the evening and we stayed at The Bellagio, first we went to our room. Big mistake, the room was so great we didn't want to leave! But after refreshing we went out for dinner at the cheese cake factory. While we were eating we also thought of what doing that night, we were tired of the drive so didn't wanna go party. After a while we decided to go to see the chippendales. So thats what we did, but we wanted to walk till there and of course got lost... We saw less and less people and after a while no more hotels... So when we got to a hotel we asked where to go and the guy said we were lost for sure, he got us a cab and so we still got in time for the show.
The show was really nice and I thought it was also funny :) For all the girls out there, I can recommend it :) After the show we went back to our hotel and went to bed.

Saturday morning we went to Wendy's for breakfast, so good, but not healthy of course, but whatever it's Vegas. After that we walked down the whole strip. You find everything there, shops, bars,... I really liked to see the strip. In the afternoon we saw more and more people with big glasses of iced drinks, after a little while we found a place who sold it, of course there was alcohol in them, we both bought one to drink while sightseeing. I also saw a side of Vegas people wanna forget, I saw a girl around my age sitting on the street with a sign who said she got cancer and needed money for the bills, that I found so sad, that the government don't help the sick people, she lost everything just because she got sick. I hope that is better now with the Obama care!
We also went into the big hotels to see the inside and saw the shows at the hotels, like the fountains at the Bellagio. There are really nice shows. After diner we went to the casino of the hotel to chase our luck. Well I didn't had any luck, but it was fun to do. After we decided to get to the club, as a guest of the hotel you have free entrance in the club The bank, so there we went. It was such a nice club, but the drinks are so expensive! We had a really nice time and stayed so late!

Sunday morning we were up late and went back to Wendy's for breakfast. After a small walk down the strip we went to get our stuff and check out. Then we headed back to L.A. Road trip back :)

We didn't have the wild Vegas trip, but still had a lot of fun :) I would recommend it to anyone who likes a good time! Taking the ride till there was also so much fun, a real road trip to do with some friends. I hoped you enjoyed my stories about my time in L.A. and California.

Love,
Sarah

San Francisco

Hello,

While in L.A. I visited more than just the city, as you have read in previous blog. This time I'll tell about the weekend in San Fransisco also organized by EA tours. This time our guide/driver was Ricky, we knew him from  previous activities we did, like the Lakers game and Dodgers game. A really nice guy.

Saturday morning we left really early, because it was an 8 hours drive till there. Once arrived everyone settled in their room and Ricky told us we could go to a club that evening and if you wanted to go you had to be in the lobby by 10 PM. So first we settled in our room and then went for dinner, me and my friend Alice I travelled to L.A. with. Then we went back and prepared to go to the club, the girl next door came to ask if we also went out and if she could come with us cause no one else wanted to go. So at 10  PM we went to the lobby, when Ricky saw we only were with 3 persons and we were all 21+ so he asked if we wanted to go to the club he planned to drop us of to or if we wanted to see the real night life with his friends. Of course we wanted to go with him and his friends, the club we else had to go to was an club for underaged persons. At the end we had the time of our lives with them! First we went to a bar and then to another one where you could also dance more :) After a long but fun day and night we went back to the hotel. We had to be back in the lobby by 8 AM to check out, we made a bet with Ricky, the last one down had to buy coffee for the other once, and yes we were the first down :)

Sunday we did a tour of the city by bus, we passed the house of Full House and Mrs Doubtfire, so cool! We also saw the famous Lombard street and took some pictures there. We saw Alcatraz, to bad we didn't had enough time to visit, I will go back to visit it for sure. Then we stopped in an old shopping street with all kind of special shops, there we also had lunch. In the afternoon we were dropped of at pier 39, such a nice and big pier. We even saw the sea lions, so cute, but a bit smelly.
Before we went back we passed the Golden gate bridge and stopped on the other side to take pictures of it, then a little further we went a bit higher to take pictures again. After a short but fun stay in San Fransisco it was time to go back to L.A.

I would suggest everyone to go and visit San Fransisco and maybe to stay longer than 2 days.
I will go back to visit Alcatraz and more of the city!

Love,
Sarah

San Diego

Hello,

So when I went to L.A. for 3 months I visited a bit of California. One of the weekends we went to San Diego for a day, it was organized by EA tours. We were with a little group, but it was a fun day.

First we did a tour of the city, then our driver/guide took us to the harbor. I just loved the harbor, I'm a big Top Gun fan and some of the ships made me think of that movie. The morning we spent at the harbor, there is so much to see.
For lunch we went to Dick's last resort, it's more of a fastfood place where they act like dick's towards the customers. I've heard of this and it seemed fun to go there. And boy were they dick's :) I loved it there. For example when they came to gave the drinks they just threw the straws on the table, and when I asked for the restrooms they just said "well open your damn eyes", so funny :) but the meals were very good.

The afternoon we went to an old cowboy town. That was so cute, you had the really old part you could visit and then the newer little town around it. I went to a cold stone ice cream place, it was my first time and it didn't disappoint, the best ice cream ever. I had the stuffing of an Oreo as ice cream, with Oreo cookies crushed in to it and marshmallows, mmmhhh the best.
On the way back we passed a huge bridge that brought us to a hided beach, so cute over there.

San Diego is a really nice city, I would recommend it to everyone and would love to go back once. One day was maybe short to enjoy it all fully.

Love,
Sarah

Going to L.A. for 3 months

Hello,

In september 2012 me and my friend Alice went to L.A. with E.F. to learn english, or to improve our english. Alice came with the idea a few months before and we did some research, went to meetings and decided to do it. It ended up to be the best time of my life. You can guess I have a lot to talk about so I will do this in a few blogs. In today's one I will talk about E.F.

E.F. or education first is for people who wanna learn a language in the country where the language is originated at. For english we could choose out of the UK, Australia or USA. We choose USA and more specifically Los Angeles. Then we could choose where to stay, in an apartment or with a family. We chose for the apartment, so we could do what we wanted when we wanted. The plane and pick up they arranged for us and so we left a few months later.

The first day we went to school we met the whole group of new people. First they showed us the building and the classes, then they let us know in which level we would be and with which other new peoples we would go in to it. We had to do a test to see at which level we would start before leaving. After that we all got in a bus and went to Venice Beach, there we could walk around and visit. Then we went to Santa Monica Beach where we had lunch and also visited. So far so good for the first day.

The rest of the 3 months we had our classes, who were nice and fun. For a homework we had to go to UCLA and interview some people. The teachers were very nice and cool. We only had half days of classes, so that was nice to. We stayed at Redondo Beach and the beach was a 15min walk from the apartment. In the morning and evenings you could go and spot dolphins, and I love dolphins so I did that a lot. We met new people, who we still keep in touch with, from all over the world.

The school was working with EA tours and you could book some trips and events with them.
We went to see the Dodgers with them, that was so nice, I didn't know a lot about the game, but people are so nice they explained it a bit to me. We also went to see the Lakers, we sat so high I was scared to fall down, I'm afraid of heights btw :) We also did a club night with them, it got out of hand (in a good way), thats all I will say about it.
After school we visited almost everything in and around L.A.  We did the Warner Bross studio tour, the O.C., Hollywood, Santa Monica, farmers market, the grove,... Whatever you can think of to do, we did. We even went to visit famous houses, from movies and so.

I also got something at my eye when up there and went to the doctor. Just saying it's so different than at home. I had a very nice doctor, but medication is so expensive there, omg. I had a really nice friend who went to the doctors with me and bought me some frozen yoghurt after it, one of my favorite things there along with the cheese cake factory.

E.F. made sure everything went smoothly and very good. I would recommend it to people who wanna learn a new language and have some adventure. This was the best experience of my life, the saddest thing about it was to go back home. We learned to know a lot of people from different places and I'll always remember them.

Hope you enjoyed this bit of that trip, I will talk about the bigger trips we did while it in another blog. See you next time.

Love,
Sarah

All roads lead to Rome

Hello,

I went twice in one year to Rome, but cause I did the same things I'll only make one blog about it. The only difference was that the first time I went with my mom around march and the second time I went for my birthday with my parents, sister and Stéphanie. Both time we had good weather even in december. The first time we went for 4 days and the second time for 3 days, with the holidays coming. Both times we flew with Alitalia, it was a short and good flight. Second time we flew with a thunderstorm a little further, beautiful but not everyone would share that feeling with me.

The first day we went to visit the Colosseum, this is an amazing historical building. We spent almost the rest of the day there. After that we went shopping a little and then for diner, of course, it was pizza for me.

The second day we went to the Vatican and the Castle of angels. With my mom we visited everything, the museum and the sixteenth chapel.  With the rest we only visited the vatican itself. The castle of angels I visited with my dad and Stéphanie, my mom and sister didn't want to do it. Both historical buildings were beautiful and so big. I love the architecture in Rome. On the way back we past the Spanish stairs and the Di Trevi fountain. Both also so beautiful. This day was also my birthday and for diner we went to a restaurant where I went with my mom on our other trip. My sister and Stéphanie went secretly to the kitchen and asked for a surprise for my birthday. The surprise was that my pizza was shaped in a heart and the cheese on it was in 23 like my age. Super surprise girls!

Rome is an awesome city and I just loved al the Italian pizza. If you haven't been yet you should really visit. I hope you liked my trip to Rome.

Sarah

Harry Potter : studio tour

Hello,

This is by far the best Harry Potter experience I had, and I did it twice, once on any other day and one in the winter when there's snow in the studio. Both of the experiences were amazing.
The first time I did the trip in one day with my mom, sister, aunt and cousin. That was a lot in one day, the driving and then the excitement, I was so tired and feeling sick at the end of the day. The second time we did it in two days, with my dad, sister, aunt and cousin. This was beter, the first day we made the trip and went to the studios, we stayed at a hotel in a town a bit further and the day after went back home. This way was more relaxing.

The studios are just amazing! When you buy your tickets it's with a timeline, so you don't have to stay in line to long. Only the income is already amazing, with pictures of all the actors. The people who work there are also so nice and funny. After the line you go in a dark room, where someone say welcome and ask some questions to settle the mood. Already so excited by then. After that you go in a cinema room with a huge screen, there you see a montage of all the movies. The magic is getting started, all the memories. Then the screen goes up and you see the doors of the great hall, and then they open... Let's go in!

You enter the great hall and it's really great. You have the tables, the costumes, all just amazing.
Then you continue to the rest of the studios, you have everything. The rooms and the costumes to belong with, the houses,.. There's something of each movie. Because my sister was under the 18y/o she got a little book to get stamps in, so we searched for all the stamps. Yes, I have that book now :)
You also have a place to take pictures on a broom with a robe on, what I did :) And you can take a group picture in the car from Ron's dad. Yes we did both.

Then you get outside and there you could eat and drink, yes there's butterbeer. Yes, we got one and it's so good! You also have the house were Harry grew up, the house where his parents died, the bridge and the bus. The outside area is pretty big.

When you get back in you have all the masks and beasts they had in the movie, just amazing. Also all the mechanical needed things you could find there, very interesting. It's so cool that you can see how they made all of it, just great to see. At the end of all this you have the castle, literally the castle and it's huge. The room was so big, you could walk around the whole castle and see little lights in it and shadows, this was maybe even the best part of the whole thing.

If you're ever around London and a Harry Potter fan, big or small, this is a must see experience for all. I could only say, go and see for yourself. I had so much pictures of it I had to choose which to put on here. The next Harry Potter thing I wanna to is the theme park in Florida, one day I will. But in the mean while i think I will go back to the studios, very soon.

Love,
Sarah

German Comic Con

Hello,

Today I'm going to tell you about the time I went to Comic Con in Germany. It was in Dortmund and I went with my sister, my best friend and his girlfriend. We went for the whole weekend and for all of us it was the first time going to Comic Con. I was amazing!

There were a hall full of little shops, a retro game area, catering and the artists alley. The other hall was with a laser game, wrestling area, photoshoot area, game zone, back to the future photoshoot, tardis photoshoot,... And you also had the panel room, I was there the most of the time :)

The first day we went to see everything, first we went by the second hall, with the laser game. There was so much to see, and the costumes were amazing, the people there brought their A game.
The first hall with all the shops was so big, when we did half of it we ate something first before doing the rest. OMG when I saw the artists alley I flipped a little, I have to admit. So many of them; Jason Isaacs, James Marsters, Laurie Holden, Manu Bennett, Rory McCann, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sylvester McCoy, Thomas Jane, Michael Madsen, William Baldwin, Stephen Lang, Sam Jones, Melody Anderson, Lea Thompson, Michael Dudikoff, Chad Rook, Stanislav Ianevski, Keith Allen, Pisa Pao, Russell Hodgkinson, Addy Miller.
That day we saw The walking dead panel with Laurie Holden, so sad no one was there who's still on the show. We also saw The Hobbit panel with Sylvester McCoy, he was so funny, an amazing panel, maybe the best. We saw The Harry Potter panel with Jason Isaacs, I was so excited!! Oh yes I'm a big Harry Potter fan!

The second day I went early with my sister because we wanted to see the panel with William Baldwin. So that was the first thing we did. We saw the Z-nation panel with Keith Allen, Pisay Pao & Russell Hodgkinson, I don't really know this show, but after this panel I might start watching it. We ate some nachos as lunch, because there were so many panels that day. Then it was the Game of thrones panel, so excited for that one, with Rory McCan & Nathalie Emmanuel. Such a good panel, they were so funny to. After that we went for a real meal and saw some of the shops again. Then we went back to the panels and saw James Marsters. Yes we saw The hobbit panel again, today Manu Bennet was there to, Sylvester McCoy is really so funny. Loved that panel. After a long day we went back to the hotel and had an early night before driving back the day after.

I hope you liked this as much as I did, my first Comic Con was a good one :)
My dream is to go to the one in San Diego!!! Hopefully one day.

Love,
Sarah
